Larry Martin

Larry R. Martin has 46 years of experience in engineering, operations and commercial activity for the hydrocarbon midstream business and its supporting utilities.

Mr. Martin formed Martin Energy Consultants in 1990 and has served 70 clients in 11 countries and on 4 continents in all areas of the hydrocarbon value chain from the wellhead separator to either LNG or refined products. The service covers conceptual design, project execution, acquisition due diligence, organization and startup and continued operations. The clients cover a range from startups building green-field assets, to established MLPs acquiring assets, to majors implementing strategic growth.

Mr. Martin was VP Manufacturing for CSX NGL until its Louisiana assets consisting of processing and treating plants, NGL pipelines, terminals and storage, and intrastate gas pipelines were sold to Enron. Prior to that from 1980 he served as Chief Engineer for CSX NGL and its predecessor Texas Gas Exploration installing 1 BCF of processing capacity, 4 MW of power generation, and expansion of the product fractionation system by 10,000 barrels per day. Over 500 MMCF per day of additional idle processing capacity was returned to service in various locations.

Mr. Martin was previously Manager of Gas Engineering for the Western Division of the Superior Oil Co. including all measurement, analytical, processing, and treating and other flow assurance activities west of the Sabine River to the Pacific. From 1970 he held successive engineering positions with Superior in gas plant operations, lab analysis, gas measurement, joint interest, project engineering and project management.

Mr. Martin received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University in 1970.

He has been involved with the GPA on the Technical Committee and its sub Committees since 1980 and served as Chairman of the ad hoc LNG Subcommittee. He has presented at the Houston Regional GPA. He was a speaker for Infocast Pacific Coast LNG Development Conference in 2004.

He served as Chairman, Board of Elders for Faith Bible Church in the Woodlands, TX from 1989 to 1999 and previously served as a Deacon and on the Building Committee. He was President of the West Texas Kennel Club for 1973 and 1974.
